Gallimaufry

This is a collection of pictures I’ve taken. I like ’em.

On crisp winter days I like to drive through all the tree-lined streets so I can see hidden pieces of sky. Steel-grey here, arctic blue there and a sun that burns with a cold fury. The naked trees stand limb-like promising a breath of new life. Soon. It’s in these moments that I see winter’s heart laid bare.

Some days you’re just glad to have woken up.  I wish we could drink pleasure. This is a series of pictures taken on The Whale Trail, De Hoop Nature Reserve, South Africa.

And since this page is called gallimaufry, I’ve also added some other pictures that I like.

There are  pictures from Mozambique, Augrabies, Hoedspruit and Franschoek. They are chased with photos from the Otter Trail, Tsitsikamma, South Africa.

And so it is time to invite you to the posts where I shall continue the gallimaufry.
